Hastings Landcare has a Yeomans Picnic Plow for hire thanks to The Foundation of for Rural and Regional Renewal and The Capararo Trust (2015)! A big thanks to Hastings Co-op Mitre 10 for supporting Hastings Landcare by storing the Yeoman’s Plow and lifting it on and off hirer’s vehicles.
About
Yeoman’s Plow is used to rip the soil without causing any damage to the soil layer profiles (it does not turn the soil whatsoever). The Plow opens the soil to the air and allows deeper water penetration which accelerates soil biological activity increasing organic matter content in the soil.The Yeoman’s Plow is designed to be used across the contours of the land to slow and capture water run off.
